Teaching And Education

As per the video, we constantly access sensory information from our surroundings. And if we pay attention, we move some of it to our short term memory (STM). "This is the reason two people may go through the same sensory environment and experience it in entirely different ways." Because some of us pay move stuff to the STM and some don't.
Stuff remains in the STM for about 5-30 seconds. We need to do some extra processing of stuff in the STM to move those to the long term memory (LTM). This movement to LTM happens if we link new information to stuff that we already knew.
