Women seem to have made it this year in the Company Secretary (CS) exams. And the topper in Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exams is a woman.
All India Ranks 1,2 and 3 have gone to women. This is an interesting thing. And I like this far better than what IIM is doing (increasing the quota for women indirectly).
If there is a need to address inequalities I believe it's better to address it far upstream. If we wanted to increase the quota for women in senior management, one can have a quota for women for those position or one can have quota for women for MBA seats or provide special training while women are doing their bachelor's degrees and so on further upstream.
Which is preferable?
