Indians have a craze for going abroad, settling down abroad. At least to study abroad.
Any country would do. Any university would do. Any degree/major would do. All that we Indians want is to go to a place where we are a foreigner. A place where we need a passport to go to.
I can't, for the life of me, believe that a person would spend lots of money to go and study at some unknown university in Australia and get some degree which is definitely not useful back home in India. That many a times these degrees are not recognized in US reflects on the quality of education in such universities.
When I said "the person spends his money", I was not very accurate. NO Indian would spend HIS money to study. The idiot he has for a father would foot the bill.

On top of this, there has been a spade of harassment of Indian students in Australia in the last 1-2 years. And still we send our children to such countries, spending our hard earned money. Are we neither interested in our children's welfare or in our money being utilized well?
